Master of Science - Computing and IT Management

The MSc Computing and IT Management program is designed for graduates who are seeking to transition into the field of computing from a different discipline. It offers a comprehensive technical knowledge and a solid business context for effectively managing IT systems.

Throughout the course, students will acquire the necessary skills to develop business applications by gaining a fundamental understanding of software and web development, e-commerce, and database management. Additionally, they will develop an understanding of the professional skills required to lead IT managers by actively participating in team-based business change projects.

Students will also have the opportunity to explore new and emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, which are significantly impacting the opportunities and challenges associated with IT systems. Alternatively, they can choose to focus on human-centric computing, which emphasizes the creation and delivery of effective information systems from a human-centric perspective. Furthermore, students can opt to learn the knowledge and skills needed to create interactive visualizations and explanations of data.

Upon successful completion of the taught phase, students will progress to the dissertation phase. This phase allows them to enhance their research skills and apply technical and management concepts and techniques to solve complex computing problems.
