Bachelor of Nursing - Adult (Autumn Intake) (B742)

The Cardiff University is located at the University Hospital of Wales campus, which is known as the third largest University Hospital in the UK. The placement partners of the School include both Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Aneurin Bevan Health Board. This allows students to have placements in various settings and locations in South East Wales.

The Cardiff University offers courses that are recognized by both the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This creates an interdisciplinary environment where students have opportunities for shared learning, formative assessments with other health professionals, and inter-professional education (IPE), which is not commonly found in other institutions.

The Cardiff University has well-equipped skills laboratories in the Clinical Simulation Suite. These laboratories provide simulated wards, community, home, and emergency environments for students to learn in. The lifelike simulations allow students to safely practice and develop essential skills, enhancing their proficiency and confidence before going on placement. This prepares students to provide leadership in multi-disciplinary care, where innovation and technology are constantly evolving.

Throughout the three years of the program, students will have a diverse range of placement experiences. This integration of academic theory with practice allows students to gain insight into the wide range of employment opportunities available upon qualification. Students will also benefit from the support of experienced nurses during their placements, helping them to become the best nurses they can be.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an Adult Nurse. This registration opens up opportunities to work in various healthcare settings, both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
