About College Certificate - Motorcycle and Powersports Product Repair Techniques (8403)

Interested applicants can learn to keep motorcycles, quads, snowmobiles, ATVs and more running at peak performance in the Motorcycle and Powersports Product Repair Techniques program.

The Motorcycle and Powersports Product Repair Techniques program will be a student's gateway to the motorcycle and power sports industry. Through training in the enviable Ashtonbee campus, Ontario’s largest transportation training facility, students will learn essential diagnostic skills, practice hands-on techniques and gain the theoretical knowledge to best position themselves for employment in this exciting field. The best part? No previous experience is necessary. The program will teach students everything they need to know.

Program instructors are not only connected to the industry but are also seasoned professionals with real-world experience who are committed to their success.

Students will spend about 60 per cent of their time learning the theory and technique to build a solid base of knowledge on motorcycle and powersports repair. Not only will students learn essential diagnostic skills that they will use throughout their career, but the offering will also cover a complete range of technical training in areas such as workplace practices, welding, mechanical systems, workplace safety and computers.

Because hands-on practice is the best way to learn a skill, students will spend the remaining 40 per cent of program time practicing and honing their skills in spacious, modern and well-equipped labs.

Students will graduate with a base of knowledge and skills that will improve their job prospects and propel them into an excellent career. They will also have a valuable certificate from a well-known and prestigious school, which has been trusted by the industry for more than 40 years, that they can use to help secure employment or an apprenticeship.

Because the Motorcycle and Powersports Product Repair program is based on the Small Engine and Level 1 Motorcycle Technician apprenticeship curriculum, they'll have the opportunity to earn credit toward their apprenticeship requirement. They will also have the potential to obtain a certification in manufacturer parts and service online systems.
