Associate in Arts - Psychology - Transfer Degree

This program prepares students for careers as psychotherapists, college professors, scientific researchers, administrations and business consultants.

The Psychology major at Los Medan's College (LMC) will provide students with an introduction to the field of psychology.  This major will focus on behavior and its contributions to understanding social evolution, interpersonal relationships and healthy and disordered functioning.  Students will be exposed to psychology as the scientific study of thought, feeling and behavior and as a helping profession dedicated to solving human problems

Psychology includes a variety of subfields, including clinical, counseling, developmental, forensic, social, cognitive, biological, industrial, health, educational and school psychology.  Most career options require more than two years of college study.  This Associate of Arts degree in Psychology for transfer provides preparation for transfer to Psychology programs at four year institutions.  Transferring, completion of a bachelor’s degree in Psychology can lead to careers as psychotherapists, college professors, scientific researchers, administrations and business consultants.
