About Graduate Certificate - Communicative Disorders Assistant (1622)
Communicative disorders assistants play a key role in supporting speech-language pathologists and audiologists to implement and monitor established treatment programs, support screening and assessment of hearing and speech function, and maintain equipment or therapy materials used to facilitate communication skills. Through a combination of theory lectures, immersive simulation experiences, highly engaging hands-on small group lab learning with specialized equipment in our state-of-the art hearing instrument specialist lab, you will be able to develop the knowledge, practical skills and judgement required to carry out treatment plans developed by registered speech-language pathologists or audiologists.
Meaningful field placement experiences are integrated into the program to help you translate theoretical knowledge from the classroom into applied practice within a workplace setting.
