About 12 Weeks Pre-Sessional English + 3-Term Pathway - Incorporated Bachelor Year Zero in Engineering and Computing - Continue to Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Students can get the perfect start to their degree at De Montfort University with the International Year Zero (IYZ). Students will take an extra year of study at De Montfort University International College (DMUIC) in order to complete a degree at DMU. Students who take the IYZ will continue to the first year of study of their chosen International Incorporated Bachelor's degree programme at DMU.
This delivery of the IYZ programme includes a twelve week pre-sessional English course immediately preceding entry to the programme. Throughout the pre-sessional English and IYZ programme, students will be supported at DMUIC. Students will have individual subject tutors who will make sure that they are on track to achieve their study goals. Students will be given feedback both in person and in writing so that they always know how they are doing, and how to improve. Students will also be assessed through regular tests and exams.
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Electrical and Electronic Engineering
This course offers a platform to develop a solid foundation in the science of electrical and electronic engineering.

- Work placement opportunities: Enhance practical and professional skills, with recent Engineering placements undertaken at Cummins, Network Rail and Caterpillar.
- Enjoy an international experience with #DMUglobal: All students have the opportunity to take part in a #DMUglobal experience, which can enrich their studies and expand their cultural horizons. Previous #DMUglobal trips have included New York, Berlin, Hong Kong, China, Canada, Japan, South Africa, Russia and Italy to name a few.
