Students can get the perfect start to their degree at De Montfort University with the International Year Zero (IYZ). Students will take an extra year of study at De Montfort University International College (DMUIC) in order to complete a degree at DMU. Students who take the IYZ will continue to the first year of study of their chosen International Incorporated Bachelor's degree programme at DMU.
A visionary and contemporary course designed to prepare students for employment in the quickly expanding and dynamic markets of the cultural industries. The Arts and Festivals Management degree is the longest-running degree course of its kind in the UK and boasts enviable industry links.
As well as deepening an understanding of academic debates, this course will help equip students with the practical tools and skills needed to become a leader in key areas of the cultural arena, including theatres, music venues, galleries, museums and festivals.
On this course students will gain a range of interdisciplinary skills such as teamwork, marketing and management theory, fundraising, business planning, licensing, health and safety, programming and cultural policy.
