Program Description
A well-respected and widely sought-after degree, studying Psychology equips students with skills in critical thinking and communication as well as scientific research methods, data analysis and data presentation skills.A well-respected and widely sought-after degree, studying Psychology equips students with skills in critical thinking and communication as well as scientific research methods, data analysis and data presentation skills. This broad range of transferable skills makes Psychology graduates an attractive prospect for graduate employers. A psychology degree can open up diverse career options in areas such as research, healthcare, social work, marketing, the police services, teaching and human resources. On completion of the course students will also be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS); their first step to becoming a chartered psychologist. With this course students can combine the study of psychology and human behavior with a deeper understanding of the criminal justice system.
DMU's psychology degree gives students an understanding of theories and research regarding the scientific study of mind and behavior. Students will also receive research methods training and be supported to undertake their own original Psychology research project in the final year of their studies.
