English Language Preparation + 3 Term Pathway - International Foundation Year - Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Accounting and Management

The programme is designed to develop Students English language skills andThis International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the Durham University, Durham City campus a in a range of subjects related to economics, accounting or finance.

After completing this pathway, students will transfer to the BA Accounting and Management program. There you’ll study a breadth and depth of accounting and finance subjects giving you the opportunity to take your knowledge to a new level. Areas of study may include accounting information, the legal, regulatory and social context within which accounting operates. This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the Durham University, Durham City campus in a range of subjects related to the humanities, law or social sciences.

The degree is based on a modular structure, with students required to take the equivalent of six modules (some of which may be ‘double modules’) within each year of study.  Over the course of the degree, modules become increasingly focused on specialist topics and issues, with the chance to undertake a Sociological research project on a specific topic of substantive interest in the final year of study.
