The FIU Global First Year Program combines credit-bearing courses from the first year of a student’s degree with additional support services, instruction tailored to their academic and language level, and cultural experiences to help ensure their future success. The Global First Year experience goes beyond academic, language, and cultural growth by offering the Career Accelerator program, which provides valuable professional skills to prepare students for successful careers.
The Career Accelerator, designed specifically for international students, includes:
Four semesters of professional development and career guidance
Skills-based training and opportunities for exclusive internships
Unique workshops, real-world experiences, and cross-cultural group work
The Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University is recognized as one of the top hospitality programs in the United States. With over 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students from around the world, FIU offers expert faculty, a rich curriculum, and fast-track career opportunities in the international hotel, food service, and tourism industries.
Undergraduate students at the Chaplin School receive a comprehensive education in hospitality and tourism management, preparing them for various careers in the field. The B.S. in Hospitality Management program offers six majors to provide students with a strong foundation in leadership, business, management, finance, marketing, logistics, accounting, operations, and more.
