Program Description
Environment provides first-year courses and the foundation for progression to the second year of SFU's Faculty of Environment. With growing awareness of Environmental issues around the World, a degree from the Faculty of the Environment will provide multiple career options in Canada and around the World.
Students who meet the integrated entry English language requirement and the relevant academic requirements for their country, will begin the UTP Stage II and will take INTG100 and two academic courses in their first term of study. An A grade in INTG100 will exempt students from the academic literacy course. This program is designed to be completed in three terms.
Students who are eligible for transfer will be admitted to the Faculty of Environment at Simon Fraser University, to continue with their Bachelor of Environment program in one the following areas of study:
- Archaeology (BA)
- Archaeology and Anthropology (joint major)
- Archaeology and First Nations Studies (joint major)
- Development and Sustainability (minor only)
- Human Geography (BA)
