About Bachelor of Science (Honous) - Nursing Studies (Mental Health)

Mental Health Nurses help individuals who are struggling to manage some elements of their lives because of mental health issues by fostering personal strengths, mental wellness, and independence.

The focus of this course is on current methods for providing mental health patients with assistance and therapy. For half of the course, students will complete practical learning experiences in a variety of placements offered by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. These include stints in NHS community and hospitals, as well as experience in the independent and voluntary sectors.

Students will engage in mental health nursing activities during these practice learning opportunities, including as patient assessment and caregiving for a variety of patients related to their selected nursing pathway. There are opportunities for international placements for experiences at various points in the course.
