Program Description
The A Level Photography course is designed to introduce learners to the creative field of photography. Students will develop an understanding of location portraiture and experimental approaches to photography. During the course, they will have access to our studio to produce high quality images and our traditional darkroom for black and white printing. Photographic practical experience will be supported by an understanding of technical applications, including traditional film and digital photography.

Part two: 15 hour Period of Sustained Focus (non-exam assessment)
The history of photography and the practice of contemporary practitioners will form a foundation to develop one's style, which can cover documentary, landscape, fashion sport and fine art to name just a few areas in this fascinating subject.
The final presentation of the learners' work will be submitted as a workbook, accompanied by a final piece which will include a selection of the strongest visual work.
