About Associate of Science - Civil and Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest disciplines in engineering. Mechanical engineers design and build solutions for a wide range of industries from aeronautics, alternative energy, robotics, automation, bio-mechanical, structural applications, composite materials. Civil engineers design, build, and maintain our infrastructure.

Studying mechanical and civil engineering is a combination of science, mathematics, and computing. The Associate of Science degree in civil and mechanical engineering (AS-T Track II MRP) is a transfer degree designed to prepare students for admission with junior status standing into mechanical and civil engineering programs at participating baccalaureate institutions.

Upon graduation, students will be able to:
  • Have completed the necessary coursework to apply to an engineering program at a four-year college or university.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Have been introduced to the techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
