About Bachelor of Arts - Animal Ethics and Sustainability Leadership (Blended Delivery)
How Blended Learning Works
Upon completion of the 1st year of study online students will then join their cohort on campus for their 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of study and meet the in person requirements for Canada’s Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP).
A valid study permit is required only for on-campus 2nd – 4th years of study, for which a provincial attestation letter (PAL) will be issued by Huron.
Program Description
The first program of its kind, AESL builds students' understanding of pressing animal and environmental issues – along with the management and leadership skills they need to be career ready.
AESL allows students to study:
- How animals are and could be protected through law and policy
- Sustainable and ethical business practices and strategies
- Ethical debates about our responsibilities to other species
- The relationships between nature and technology
- Just transitions and climate action plans for organizations and communities
- Other ecological and multispecies topics that reflect student-specific interests and goals.
