Bachelor of Science - Hospitality and Tourism Management

Through the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management program, students will prepare to be a manager, leader or entrepreneur in the hospitality industry. In this program, two-thirds of the classes will be on management topics as viewed through the lens of hospitality. Students will build a foundation in the core business areas as they learn to apply methods and tools to organizational decision-making.

Unlike some other hospitality schools, Husson doesn't limit learning to the classroom. Students will utilize the latest in cutting-edge technology to experience training in virtual reality environments, and students will learn about how technology is impacting the hospitality industry. Plus, students will gain hands-on experience through an internship, putting them on the first rung of their career ladder before they graduate.

When students think of careers in hospitality and tourism, they probably think of careers in hotels, restaurants and cruises. However, the tourism and hospitality industry is much larger than that. It includes categories such as health and wellness, weddings, meetings, and events, sports, aviation, destination marketing organizations, and more. Plus, each one of these areas needs professionals in finance, marketing and sales, security and banking. It’s no wonder, then, that professionals in hospitality and tourism management are in high demand.
