Bachelor of Science - Business Education

The Business Education major at Illinois State University combines the solid foundation of a business degree with preparation of teachers in business, marketing and computers.

The Business Education graduate is prepared to teach the following subjects: basic business, accounting, record keeping, business law, information processing/keyboarding, computer applications, consumer economics, marketing, entrepreneurship, business communications, and subjects with similar titles.

The primary purpose of Business Education is to prepare professional teachers to teach business and marketing courses in the secondary schools. Although most graduates do become teachers professionally some may be employed and engaged in administration and personnel work in different business organizations.
