Computers affect every part of life, and as technology rapidly evolves, the demand for computer scientists to work across nearly every industry continues to grow.

During this degree, students will work at the cutting edge of technology. They will develop machine learning algorithms, web applications, and multi-platform games, learning how to use technology to find solutions that can change lives worldwide.

Students will join an exciting and innovative environment, collaborating with real-world organizations to create applications from requirements gathering to the final product. The program maintains close ties with industries on both local and international levels to ensure that the topics studied are practical and relevant. Students will put this experience into practice through short-term summer work placement modules.

They will gain an understanding of the theoretical, scientific, and mathematical components of computing, including:

Algorithms for data processing and analysis

Software engineering principles and practices

Interactive entertainment and games programming

Additionally, students will learn about software development, physical computing, and data management, developing proficiency in various programming languages, including Java, C++, and C#.

The department is a member of the Amazon Web Services Academy and the GitHub Global Campus. During the degree, students will be taught by AWS Accredited Educators, GitHub Campus Experts, and Agile Scrum Masters.
