2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year in Science - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biology

This accredited BSc (Hons) Biology degree gives students the knowledge and skills to apply their interest in the science of life and living organisms. With this degree under the students belt, they can contribute positively to society in their career.

In the first year, students will get a foundation in key biological theories and principles. They'll also be introduced to the practical skills and technology they'll use throughout their degree and in their career as a biologist.

In years 2 and 3, students will build on their fundamental biology skills and knowledge. Students can specialize in the strands of biology that interest them most, such as microbiology and biotechnology, cell and molecular biology, or ecology and evolution.

In the final year, students will design and run an investigation and present it to a professional specification. They can do a placement year after the second year, or study abroad on a conservation or research scheme.
