The newly restructured IT degree gives students the flexibility to complete a stand-alone core along with an in-depth specialisation of your choice. They can enrol in electives from across the university, complementing your IT studies to tailor their own unique study plan. The institute supports students to develop strong communication, academic and problem-solving skills, critical attributes for success in the IT sector. They will learn programming skills to facilitate smooth communication with software developers, and explore web design, systems modelling and user experience. All provide students with the foundations to pursue their desired IT career, or to move on to a specialisation. Participation in the professional engagement Program gives students the opportunity to network and enhance their knowledge of the IT industry. Students will also build awareness of the latest research and developments and explore the extent to which IT is embedded in areas as diverse as health, education, industry and more.
