The single honours Russian degree allows students to gain a high level of proficiency in the Russian language. This course is suitable for both beginners and those who wish to build on existing experience.

In the third year students will immerse themselves in a Russian-speaking environment. Students have been to many parts of Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as lesser-known cities such as Tomsk in Siberia and Krasnodar in southern European Russia. There is a wonderful range of placements available, either to study Russian at a university, teach English or work, for example in a multinational company, charity or non-governmental organisation.
