This degree extends the three-year BSc course to four years, with the third year spent studying accounting and finance in English at a university abroad, before returning to Bristol for the final year. The course combines the challenging, broad academic content of all accounting degrees with an overseas dimension that reflects the international nature of modern business.

Years one and two cover underpinning material in financial accounting, management accounting, finance and applied quantitative research methods, as well as the option to choose modules in economics, business law, management, taxation and a variety of open units from across the University.

Students will spend year three studying modules in accounting and finance at a partner institution overseas, taught in English. Currently, Bristol has links with universities in continental Europe, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and the US.

Students can either apply directly through UCAS or they may apply to transfer from BSc Accounting and Finance early in the second year of their studies. Places are allocated depending on first-year examination results and availability of spaces and subject areas at destination universities.
