The Pre-Master's for Law and Social Sciences at Kaplan International College London is ideal for a postgraduate degree at university. The length of the course is determined mainly by the applicant's English language level.
All students will take a set of common or similar modules to gain key skills for university. They may also take extra modules focusing on one or more of the English language, academic skills and basic subject knowledge.
The Master of Science in Applied Biotechnology includes a wide range of modern molecular biology techniques and explores how biotechnology can be used by today's society. It is an established course in biotechnology which has been extensively updated. Graduates will complement their theoretical studies with hands-on experience of fully controlled fermenters that are up to pilot-plant scale, and are linked to modern monitoring and control systems. They will study a range of subjects in considerable depth, including bioactive compounds, industrial bioprocesses, microbial physiology and fermentation technology, microbial production of novel metabolites, monitoring and control of fermentation, topics in biotechnology, and types of bioreactors.
