Program Description
If you hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help you gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at the University of York. Your course length is determined mainly by your English language level (UKVI IELTS score).
Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If your course is longer than 2 terms, you’ll take additional modules designed to improve one or more of your English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.
Master of Arts - Global Crime and Justice
The MA in Global Crime and Justice is designed for students and professionals seeking to develop a career in criminal justice, international organisations, the media and research.
Students will study an increasingly important feature of society: transnational crime and the responses taken by states and non-state actors.
Students will engage with the reality of global crime and criminal and related social policies from an interdisciplinary perspective. They will explore global policy analysis and criminal justice with an international approach. They'll also be trained in research methods.
