About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Fashion Design
The university encourages students to explore experimental and industry-standard approaches to pattern cutting and garment construction in fashion design methods. Students are urged to push the boundaries of their fashion thinking while considering sustainable practices, diversity, and inclusion.
Throughout the course, students will:
- Create designs in response to trends, market segmentations, and technical innovations to achieve resolved 3D outcomes
- Work on high-profile industry-led briefs, live projects, and competitions to build a professional fashion portfolio
- Develop an understanding of cultural, ethical, and environmental concerns in the fashion industry
- Improve 2D and 3D skills and learn how to effectively communicate concepts to their audience
- Benefit from the Visiting Lecturer program to enhance their understanding of the fashion industry
- Utilize industry-recognized CAD techniques, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Clo3D, in their designs
- Have the opportunity to participate in an optional sandwich year placement in the industry.
