2-Semester Pathway - International Foundation Year - Business, Law and Social Studies - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Media, Communication, Cultures at Leeds Beckett University

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Leeds Beckett University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge in business, economics and mathematics, as well as the English language skills necessary for success in an undergraduate program at Leeds Beckett University. Once a student completes this course they will be suitable for progression options in areas such as business, law, marketing and public relations.

After completing this pathway, students will transition to the BA Media, Communication, Cultures program. Create the future of communications. A dynamic course that critically explores cultural trends and media industries. Engage with all forms of mass communication: the internet, social media, television, radio, popular music and cinema.

Get hands-on and create photographic essays, blogs and podcasts. Design a talk program for a radio station. Invent and pitch a lifestyle TV concept. Design and create an online game. Form an anti-racism campaign group.

Work alongside practicing professionals from social media, marketing, TV and and magazine production in state-of-the-art social learning spaces.
