About Master of Science - Pharmaceutical Science and Drug Delivery Systems

In the Pharmaceutical Science and Drug Delivery Systems MSc course, students will learn about the methods used to develop the drug delivery systems that are deployed to specifically targeted areas of the body with minimal side effects. With the huge advances that have been made in the formulation of drug delivery systems, the opportunity now exists for students to solve future delivery problems of new chemical entities.

The Pharmaceutical Science and Drug Delivery Systems MSc has been designed to develop students' understanding of how drug delivery systems are constructed for specific deployment and controlled release of therapeutic agents. If students are a science graduate with a desire to work in this field, then this course will help them develop the knowledge and skills they will need.

A flexible modular course, this master's course is designed to promote students' personal and professional development. Learning support will be delivered through lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical workshops. All modules are taught by experts in their field and are supported by London Metropolitan University's online web-based learning environment accessible from outside the University at any time of day or night.

Students will study five core taught modules and then have a choice of one optional module, from the list of taught MSc modules offered by the subject group, over two semesters. Students will then carry out an independent research project under the guidance of an experienced academic supervisor during the summer term.

If students are already working for a pharmaceutical company and have ambitions to acquire greater knowledge of the field, then this course will greatly contribute to their career advancement and continuing professional development (CPD).

An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
