One of the most popular options on graduating is to go on to train as a chartered accountant. There are many different directions to pursue, specialising in financial reporting, taxation, auditing or forensic accounting. 

This programme has an optional placement year. When students complete a placement year, they'll be awarded a differentiated degree entitled BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance (with Placement). The assessment of the placement is designed to support and accredit their experience by formalising their personal development outcomes, and by contextualising their prior learning. The production of evidence to a relevant professional body, which includes a minimum of two workplace visits over the year, will provide students with a supportive structure to work in. Regular online contact with tutors, peer-contact and placement support will be maintained throughout the year.
