Academic Accelerator - Bachelor of Music - Piano Performance

The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a first-year program designed for international students with strong English-language skills. It provides additional support to complement English-taught classes.

Students enrolled in the Academic Accelerator Program will receive:

Tailored support for academic and English language needs

A full year’s worth of college credits

Access to courses specifically for international students

Assistance with English vocabulary relevant to their classes

A mix of classes with both international and U.S. students

The LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts is a community dedicated to training, nurturing, and rewarding talented artists, educators, scholars, and performers in the performing arts. The college promotes a passion for the arts, collaboration, and the creation of new works, engaging with the community to enhance communication skills.

The Bachelor of Music degree offers concentrations in Brass, Composition, Harp, Organ, Percussion, Piano, Piano Pedagogy, Strings, Voice, and Woodwind. This program prepares students for careers in performance, with many graduates continuing their studies at the master’s level at LSU or other esteemed institutions.
