About Associate in Applied Science - Agricultural Equipment Technology
In the Agricultural Equipment Technology program, students learn to repair and maintain agricultural equipment providing hands-on training on the latest technology. Train in Madison's state-of-the-art, simulated shop environment from award winning faculty. Hands-on training is driven by local industry to ensure students gain the skills needed to be successful in industry. In the Agricultural Equipment Technology program at Madison College, students will:
- Train on agricultural equipment in the classroom and in the lab.
- Develop critical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Gain work experience with a required summer internship.
- Become a certified Technician in Basic Electrical and Electronics, Basic Hydraulics and Diagnostic Systems.
- Develop agricultural equipment service skills for entry-level employment at agricultural equipment employers.
In the Agricultural Equipment Technology program, students have the opportunity to:
- Learn from experts in agricultural equipment both at the college and through their internship.
- Get hands-on training with advanced agricultural technology.
- Gain technical expertise in hydraulics, power trains, electronics, fuel systems, heating, air conditioning and engine service.
- Round out their professional skills with training in management, sales, math and ethics.
- Graduate from the Agricultural Equipment Technology with an associate degree in Applied Science.
