About Associate in Science - Liberal Arts Transfer - Professional Health

The Professional Health pre-major prepares students to transfer into professional health programs at bachelor's degree granting institutions and beyond. Many students in the Professional Health pre-major transfer to complete bachelor’s degrees in a relevant major, such as biology or kinesiology, before applying to a professional program such as pharmacy, medicine, or veterinary medicine. The pre-major features a rigorous focus on math and science to ensure that students are on an efficient path and are ready for their future studies and career. Specific transfer agreements are available for transferring to four-year colleges, including the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

The Professional Health pre-major does not provide certification to work as a healthcare professional. Students in this pre-major transfer to complete their bachelor's degree or professional school prerequisites at another institution. Successful completion of relevant certification exam(s) may also be required.

After completing this associate of science degree at Madison College, students will be able to:
