About Bachelor of Science - Finance
Manhattanville College’s Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance degree programs teach students how to develop, analyze, and interpret financial statements, invest in financial assets, and create, evaluate, and optimize long-term financial plans. As a finance major at Manhattanville, students will gain the skills needed for a career in the dynamic field of finance. They’ll be well-equipped in future roles to respond to shifts in economic conditions that keep the field stimulating and challenging, as well as communicate their insights to stakeholders, whether they work in a business firm or non-profit organization. Located conveniently near the various financial institutions and corporate headquarters in New York City, New York, Westchester County, NY, and Fairfield County, Connecticut, both the B.S. and B.A. in Finance programs provide opportunities to earn internships and experience leading to post-graduation jobs. Recent finance majors have interned and now work for well-known companies in the industry, such as Lincoln Financial Advisors, Morgan Stanley, and Mastercard Worldwide.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Finance are four-year undergraduate degrees designed to give students hands-on experience and skills in financial concepts and business practices.
Under the guidance of experienced faculty, finance majors learn how to implement the practical tools and techniques used by financial professionals in a variety of settings, from securities and markets to public policy and global economics.
Positioning students to begin their careers or pursue advanced credentials after graduation, Manhattanville’s finance degrees include credit-earning internship opportunities and ways to connect with local and international employers through networking functions and special projects.
Manhattanville’s finance degree programs prepare students for a diverse range of career pathways, from accounting and auditing to founding a non-profit organization. Whether their dream career path requires further graduate study, work experience, or specialized training, or they’re excited to begin their career path as a financial, budget, or management analyst, finance majors can excel in public and private settings.
