About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Primary Education (QTS)
Program Description
Teaching in a primary school is one of the most rewarding careers people can have and a BA in Primary Education will give students the experience and support they need to succeed in their studies and achieve Qualified Teacher Status. Students will learn through a mix of theory and practice to develop the ability and confidence to teach all the subjects in the National Curriculum to children from 5 to 11 years, reception, KS1 and KS2.
Students will combine studying on campus with practical classroom experience at one of Middlesex University's partnered primary schools in London and the surrounding areas. It’ll be the students chance to shine, as many of the students land their first job with their placement host.
Middlesex will also give students plenty of opportunities to work in the field, with visits to galleries, museums and places of worship across London. Students will have the option in year two to take an extra placement at school for children with special educational needs and disabilities, while in year three they’ll have the opportunity to study abroad in Australia, USA or Europe.
