This Postgraduate Qualifying Program is a 5-unit course taught over one trimester. It has been designed as a pathway to a master’s degree for international students who don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s degree.
This course is suited to those who:
- don't have the desired results to gain entry to their chosen master’s degree
- need to adapt to the academic requirements in the master’s degree studies
- need additional English language support
After successful completion of this program, students will be able to commence their postgraduate degree studies with confidence at Murdoch University.

Students will examine the connections between politics, governance and development, social and environmental sustainability, food and health security, gender and empowerment, and state building and conflict, as well as evaluating different approaches to policy and practice.
Students will graduate with the skills and knowledge they need to pursue a career in international development in a broad range of settings, such as regional and international organisations, government agencies, consultancy firms, and non-government organisations (NGOs) involved in development.
