Earth and Environmental Sciences offer interdisciplinary solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental problems, from climate change to sustainability, from pollution to deforestation, from water scarcity to soil degradation, and many more. Earth and environmental scientists investigate the driving forces and consequences of the problems, monitor the change and model the impacts of management initiatives or policy. The Geography and GIS Track provides students with up-to-date training in the field of geography and geospatial information science and technology, and prepares students for further graduate studies or careers in a rapidly growing field with broad and multidisciplinary applications of GIS that has permeated every aspect of our daily lives.
