Master of Music - Music Performance and Pedagogy

• Nazareth University has the only master of music program in New York state with a dual focus on performance and pedagogy. This degree will prepare students well for a performance and private teaching career or for doctoral degree programs in performance and/or pedagogy.
• Performance training: Develop performance expertise in both solo and chamber music repertoire, including performing a recital in each and in other settings.

Program is Ideal For

Qualified musicians (audition required) with a B.A., B.M., or B.S. degree in music, performance, music education, music therapy, music theory, or music history who want to:

• Students train professionally as a performing artist.
• Students further develop instrumental or vocal technique
• Students develop teaching artistry on their instrument and its repertoire
• Students pursue doctoral studies in performance and/or pedagogy upon graduation
• Students establish a career as a performing and/or teaching artist
• Carve an independent musical career path
