About College Diploma - Electronics Engineering Technology

Electronics Engineering Technologists are at the forefront of technology, capable and ready. They’re always plugged in, with the know-how and expertise to diagnose and solve electronic system issues and develop best practices. In this exciting program, students will learn how to design, commission, test, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain and support electronic systems. The second year of the program will see students delve deeper into specializations—communications systems and biomedical systems at New Brunswick Community College’s Saint John Campus, and industrial controls at their Moncton campus.

All Electronics and Electrical Engineering Technology programs have a common first two terms, allowing for seamless transfer across programs by the third term of year one. Year two provides more in-depth electronics training with specialization pathways that may include:

  • COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS (Saint John campus): Focusing on, but not limited to, the production of wireless, digital, data and/or fiber optic communication systems.
  • BIOMEDICAL (Saint John campus): Focusing on, but not limited to, the installation and maintenance of electronic and computer-controlled equipment used in health care settings.
  • INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS (Moncton campus): Focusing on, but not limited to, the installation and maintenance of electronic and computer-controlled systems used in industrial settings.
