About Bachelor of Arts - Anthropology (PA)

Anthropology is a fascinating and interdisciplinary field that will have students investigating the vast scope of human experience. Studies will range in focus from the origin of species and the development of the first known human civilizations to language and the diversity of cultures that exist today. This program provides students with fundamentals, principles and theories by exploring the human experience from cultural, historical, geographical and sociological perspectives. Curiosity may unearth new knowledge as students find themselves immersed in hands-on fieldwork and conducting applied research.

Students in the Anthropology program will discover how human beings are engaged in a continual project of making meaning in the world. Students will also examine critical questions confronting species including the interactions between local practices and global forces, particularly in the areas of identity and subjectivity, power and inequality, health and wellness, and globalization and development.
