About 3-Term Pathway - Foundation Certificate for Science and Engineering - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Biological Sciences
If students have finished high school but don’t meet the entry requirements for university, a Foundation Certificate can help them gain entry to an undergraduate degree.
Students will start with the fundamentals of biological sciences, and then take their course wherever they want; whether that’s environmental biology, biomedical science, biochemistry and microbiology, or physiology and pharmacology. Students will investigate, they’ll collaborate, and they’ll get hands on — in labs, on field trips, and through their own industry placement.
In Year Three, students will be encouraged to take a year-long placement overseas, or in the UK. Recent students have secured placements with organizations such as the NHS, Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation (Greece) and AstraZeneca.
