Program Description

1. The principles of responsible and sustainable management are central to Nottingham Trent University's School and the programme. Nottingham Trent University will help the student to develop the insights, capacities and skills to create and maintain responsible, efficient business practices, as well as to develop their sustainable mind-set, promote responsible leadership and influence organisational cultures.
2. The learning style and opportunities are characterised by experiential learning, manifest in the two consultancy projects and a pedagogy designed to increase opportunities for experiential elements in each module.
3. Nottingham Trent University offers a personalised pathway, with the freedom to specialise in the areas that interest the student the most and to shape their skills and experiences around the career they want.

• Nottingham Trent University offers a more hands-on experience than most other UK business schools. The student will complete two hands-on experience projects; one within the UK and the other one internationally.
• Nottingham Trent University's Personal, Professional and Leadership Development module will include opportunities for academic and industrial mentoring, careers support and individual personal and professional development based around the student's needs.
• The student will develop global management skills and immerse themselves in a multicultural atmosphere, with a dynamic community of staff and students from around the world.
• The student will articulate a critical understanding of the contemporary issues, theories and conceptual frameworks used to explain and guide management and leadership activities in organisations.
• The student will critically appraise the range of tools and techniques required to transform the culture and capabilities of organisations to meet the challenges of a turbulent and dynamic business environment.

Students can choose to add a year's work placement, making their MBA a two-year course. It's a great way to put learning into practice and gain career-enhancing real-world experience. The placement year will last up to 48 weeks (minimum 36 weeks). If students are unable to take a full year's placement, but have completed the minimum 36 weeks, they can qualify for a Placement Diploma in Industrial Experience.
