Bachelor of Arts - Criminal Justice

About Bachelor of Arts - Criminal Justice
Program Description
As criminal justice majors, students will take challenging courses in corrections, policing, the courts and juvenile justice as well as courses in related fields like psychology, sociology, political science, statistics and research methods. Many of these courses include strong research and writing components. They’ll also build teamwork, communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in the field.
Large institutions just can’t provide the individualized attention and opportunity students will find here. ONU criminal justice majors can take an “Inside-Out” course taught at a local prison, where they learn alongside inmates. They mentor juvenile offenders and intern with local and national law enforcement agencies. They work with national datasets and lead student organizations.
