Program Description

When students major in sociology, they have unlimited career options. Employers in every field – business, government, education, health care and more – seek out people who have special insights into our world and our behavior. At ONU, they'll expose students to many possible career paths and help them find one they're passionate about.

The sociology program includes challenging and innovative courses in criminology, health and health care, social theory, research methods, and data analysis. Many courses include strong research and writing components. Students will also build teamwork, communication, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with lab work and hands-on experience in the field.
