Program Description

As electrical engineering majors in the T.J. Smull College of Engineering, students will gain a solid foundation in the field. They'll take courses on electronics, control systems, signal processing and electric power. If students are interested in a particular area – like communications, power systems or robotics and automation – they can choose from a variety of upper-level elective courses in these areas.

This academic program is rigorous yet practical. Students should expect to work hard and be challenged. The program offers integrated lab and design experiences in every course. It offers a supportive and collaborative environment. The fellow students in the college and professors will become friends and mentors. Students will have the opportunity to connect with ONU alumni and they will help them succeed and open doors for them.

Upon graduation, students will be ready for whatever the future holds, whether it’s designing the next generation smartphone, managing projects for a major energy corporation, building robotic systems or even launching their own company!
