Bachelor of Arts - Global Studies

The PLU Global Studies program combines classroom learning with practical experience, providing students with the knowledge, perspectives and skills needed to understand today’s world, and preparing them for life and work in the global community. As a global studies major, students will learn to analyze global issues from multiple perspectives and learn about challenges such as poverty, international conflict, migration of people, securing human rights and development strategies that ensure social justice. Students will get to choose a concentration to personalize their major: Development and Social Justice, International Affairs, or Transnationalism and Its Consequences. Graduates will be equipped with the skills and analytical methods needed to comprehend and engage with contemporary global problems and possible solutions.
