About Bachelor of Business Administration - Accounting
A major in Accounting will prepare students to review, analyze, and interpret financial statements, cash flows, and give financial advice. Students will also learn to review financial statements from others.
The major in Accounting provides preparation for professional accounting careers in industry, government, non-profits, and in public accounting. The major in Accounting provides a sound foundation for those wishing to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) examination, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) examination, and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) examination. Candidates for the CPA examination in Kansas are required to have completed 150 semester hours of college credit.
