About Bachelor of Business Administration - Actuarial Studies

Program Description

The Global Student Success Office is committed to supporting a student's journey at Queens College from their initial application through to graduation. The office assists with many aspects of a student's life, including expediting their admission process, offering orientation programs as they transition to the American classroom, and providing academic and social experiences scheduled throughout the year.

Whether students are required to participate in the Undergraduate Global Student Success Program or enroll through General Admission, they will have access to service and support provided by the Global Student Success Office.​

Students will set themselves up for many successful career paths when they pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Queens College.

Located in New York City, the home of Wall Street and the United Nations Headquarters, Queens College students have the opportunity to live and study in the heart of one of the world's most important economic centers.

Students enrolled in Queens College’s BBA program will learn the foundational skills needed for the modern business world through rigorous coursework, internships and extracurricular activities.

Actuarial Studies

  • Students pursuing Actuarial Studies will gain the mathematics and professional knowledge needed to pass the profession’s exams.

Students enrolled in Internship for Economics (ECON 393) will have the chance to gain real-world experience through an internship at one of New York City’s countless industry-leading employers. Recently, students pursuing the BBA have completed (or participated in) the following internships:

  • Financial Analyst at the National Institute of Health
  • Operations Intern at CBS Sports
  • Operations Assistant at Federal Credit Union
  • Wealth Management Intern at Morgan Stanley
​A degree in Actuarial Studies lays the groundwork for a career in the insurance industry. Coursework stresses accounting, economics, mathematics, and business fundamentals. The program also prepares students for a series of professional examinations. Admission to the program, which is administered by the Department of Economics, is selective.
