About ESL Intensive Package (Academic Focused/Pathway Programs) (30 hours/week)

Program Description

RCIIS offers several convenient ESL packages for students to choose from. These packages are designed for students who want to apply to multiple programs at a time.

ESL Intensive Package consists of 30 hours per week with the student's choice of classes that run in the morning and afternoon or afternoon and evening. This package can also be used with the final goal of entering a Canadian post-secondary institution. Each institution varies in which programs they allow for conditional admission. The programs that are academic focused and can provide a path to an academic institution are:

ESL foundation (4-12 weeks)
Pre-Academic 1-4 (16-28 weeks)
English for Academic Purposes (12 weeks)
Advanced English for Academic Purposes (4 weeks)

Students may enter the pathway at multiple levels. The lowest point of entry is the ESL Foundation program. Students who are accepted into the ESL Foundation program are at the elementary or beginner levels of ESL proficiency and are placed there after an initial placement test.

After successful completion of the ESL Foundation program, students may enter the Pre-Academic 1 course. The Pre-Academic courses continue to provide general ESL skills, along with the techniques used in the English for Academic Purposes program. Alternatively, new students can be placed in Pre-Academic 1-4 based on their overall English proficiency.

With some of RCIIS's PCC partners, students can enter directly by successfully completing the highest level Pre-Academic Program. For other post-secondary pathway partners, students are required to successfully complete the EAP or Advanced EAP programs.

Registration Fee: The registration fee varies on region according to current promo until June 30th, 2021. The fee listed is based on the standard fee. See below for application fees per region.

Standard: $175

Brazil and Latin America: $175

Turkey and Middle East: $175

Japan: $175 (free if applicant buys 12 or more weeks)

Taiwan and Korea: $175

Vietnam: $100

Tuition: Tuition fees will vary on the student's intended length of study. The tuition fees listed per year ($14,700) is based on 8 months (35 weeks of study) of the standard fee. See below for tuition fees and for promo that expires July 31st, 2021.

Studying for 28 weeks = $6,120 (24 weeks + 4 free)
Studying for 32 weeks = $6,860 (28 weeks + 4 free)
Studying for 36 weeks = $7,840 (32 weeks + 4 free)
Studying for 40 weeks = $8,460 (36 weeks + 4 free)
Studying for 44 weeks = $9,400 (40 weeks + 4 free)
Studying for 48 weeks = $10,340 (44 weeks + 4 free)

Program Start dates occur monthly but will vary depending on the month. Students need to specify the number of weeks of study for the program they wish to apply for.
