To ensure students get the best start to their studies, the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology has invested in careers counselling, academic and welfare support for international students to access when and where it suits them.

Foundation Studies gives students the opportunity to study the subjects that align with their interests and study goals. Students can choose from streams in:
  • Art, Design and Architecture
  • Business
  • Communication and Social Context
  • Engineering and Science
  • Health
  • Information Technology (IT)
Bachelor of Social Science - Psychology (BH106SOSDD) (079592G):
The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours)/Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) combines two highly respected degrees to give students a unique, broad grounding across both areas.

This degree will increase students' knowledge and understanding of human development, and how such factors interact within individual, group, organizational, community and policy contexts. Students will be prepared to think critically about the social world and to influence change through their practice, advocacy, or research. Social workers and psychologists often work side-by-side in organizations where a balancing act of expertise in both areas is required.

Students will be prepared for employment in general social work practice and settings requiring an understanding of psychology. They will be equipped to apply interdisciplinary knowledge to address complex social problems.

Please note that applicants from some countries will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee. The fee will go towards the tuition deposit for any students who enroll.
