About Bachelor of Science - Electrical Engineering
Students will learn the technical skills they need to become a proficient electrical engineer, and develop the communication and business skills necessary to build a thriving career.
As an electrical engineer, students will learn to design, build, and maintain electrical and electronic systems, ranging from large-scale power systems to smart home devices. Starting in first year, students can begin gaining real-life experience with an industry-supported research position within IDEA Lab -- Sacred Heart University’s open lab space where students explore, invent, and discover.
In the Electrical Engineering program, students will:
- Reinforce their technical knowledge through presentation and outreach opportunities
- Be part of on-campus innovation at Sacred Heart University's IDEA Lab, AI lab, and cybersecurity lab
- Have multiple opportunities to participate in an internship or mentorship
- Join innovative electrical engineering courses, where immersive learning, participation, and community outreach are at the core of each session.
- Benefit from an electrical engineering program housed under the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology
- Participate in interdisciplinary research opportunities
