About Bachelor of Science - Health Science - Dietetics & Nutrition

At Sacred Heart University, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the health care system and its many specialties -- allowing them to create a flexible career path in the health field, or continue to graduate school to obtain an advanced health care degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, public health, pre-accelerated nursing and more.

In the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program, students will also:

  • Identify approaches to health care system diversity and demonstrate cultural competence in personal and professional interactions
  • Develop ethical standards, values and attitudes appropriate to health care professionals

With a Nutrition & Dietetics concentration, students can enter a high-demand field in diverse areas of practice like acute, long-term care; community, federal and state programs; food service; policy and public health.
